Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) in partnership with the One District One Product (ODOP) Cell of Uttar Pradesh government’s MSME Department on Monday launched Enterprise Connect Desks (ECDs) in 35 district industries centres of the state.

The main objective of ECDs is to promote entrepreneurship among people and keep them informed about the various MSME-related schemes of the central government, state government, banks, and SIDBI.
Additional Chief Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Navneet Sehgal applauded the efforts of SIDBI and ODOP as it will encourage the unemployed youth to take up entrepreneurship and help budding entrepreneurs to connect with banks through this ambitious initiative. Sehgal also urged participants to use the Udyam Sarathi App of the state government to look for self-employment opportunities in the state.
Manish Sinha, General Manager and Regional Head, SIDBI, Lucknow said, “SIDBI is giving impetus to its promotional and developmental interventions in the state for the unserved and underserved segments through partnerships with the state government and other stakeholders.”
