Major Reshuffle in Kerala Police Leadership, New Appointments and Transfers Announced

In a recent development within the Kerala Police force, a series of key appointments and transfers have been announced, bringing about a major reshuffle in the leadership. The changes were confirmed in an official statement released by the authorities earlier today.

Inspector General of Police (IG), South Zone, G. Sparjan Kumar, has been entrusted with the full additional charge of IG, Security. Harshita Attaluri, who held the position of IG, Vigilance (HQ), has been transferred and will now serve as IG, Headquarters-Thiruvananthapuram.

A. Akbar, the District Police Chief of Kochi City, has been reassigned to the position of IG, Crimes II, Ernakulam. Simultaneously, S. Syamsundar, who previously served as IG, Internal Security, will now take over as the new District Police Chief of Kochi City.

Narayanan T. has been appointed as the new District Police Chief of Wayanad, succeeding Padam Singh, who has been reassigned to the position of Assistant IG (Policy). Shilpa D. has been posted as the Assistant IG (Procurement), assuming a crucial role in the department.
