Indian Vaccine Manufacturers Association (IVMA) has appointed Dr. Krishna M Ella as the President of the association for a two-year period from April 2024-2026. He took over Adar C Poonawala, who held this position from the year 2019 till March 2024.
For April 2024-2026 term, Mahima Datla will assume the role of Vice President, who is also the Managing Director of Biological E. T. Srinivas, CFO of Bharat Biotech, will assume the role of treasurer and Dr. Harshavardhan will continue to serve as Director General of IVMA.
Speaking about IVMA and evolving need for vaccines, Dr. Krishna M Ella, President, IVMA stated, ‘Vaccines are the vital pillar of global health, and the IVMA mission is to ensure that every individual, regardless of where they live, has access to life-saving immunisations.
