In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Chhattisgarh government has transferred eight probationary IPS officers. The move involves officers from the 2021, 2022, and 2023 batches and aims to streamline policing across various districts.
According to the official order, IPS Sumit Kumar of the 2021 batch has been transferred from Bilaspur and appointed as the City Superintendent of Police in Jagdalpur, Bastar.
Among the 2022 batch officers, IPS Ishu Agrawal has been moved from Rajnandgaon and posted as City SP, Aazad Chowk, Raipur. IPS Mayank Mishra, previously serving in Sarguja, has been appointed as the City SP of Raigarh. IPS Harshit Mehar, who was posted in Raigarh, has been transferred to Durg as City SP. Meanwhile, IPS Rahul Bansal has been moved from Durg and will now take charge as the City SP in Sarguja.
Further, IPS Vaishali Jain has been transferred from the Police Headquarters in Raipur and assigned the role of City SP in Rajnandgaon.
From the 2023 batch, IPS Abhishek Kumar Chaturvedi has been transferred from Raipur to Dhamtari, where he will serve as the City SP. Similarly, IPS Gagan Kumar has been shifted from Bastar and posted as the City SP of Bilaspur.
