Punjab Launches Digital Ayurvedic Initiatives

On the occasion of the 10th National Ayurveda Day, Punjab’s Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh unveiled a series of digital initiatives designed to modernize and popularize the Ayurvedic healthcare system in the state.

Key launches included the E-Yog app, a dedicated Ayurveda website, and establishment of an Industry, Research, and Academia (IRA) Chamber of Ayurveda. These platforms aim to integrate digital tools with traditional medicine, making Ayurvedic information more accessible, transparent, and scalable.

Dr. Singh underscored that Ayurveda can contribute to preventive wellness, cure, rehabilitation, and holistic well-being, aligning with the theme “Ayurveda for People & Planet.”

At the event, Dr Sanjeev Goyal (Registrar, Board of Ayurvedic System of Medicine, Punjab) received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions. A presentation titled “Ayurveda at a Glance” provided insights into departmental achievements and future directions.

By digitizing operations, tracking research, and fostering collaboration between industry and academia, Punjab aims to modernize Ayurvedic practice and expand its reach. Ensuring content accuracy, interoperability with mainstream health systems, and user adoption will be central to long-term success.
