Former Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra Joins Ravindra Energy Limited as Independent Director

In a notable post-retirement appointment, Apurva Chandra (Retd IAS: 1988: MH), former Union Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India, has been appointed as an Additional Director (Non-Executive Independent) on the Board of Ravindra Energy Limited for a five-year term, effective November 5, 2025, subject to shareholder approval.

A seasoned civil servant, Chandra brings with him extensive experience in public administration, policy formulation, industrial development, and governance. Over his distinguished career, he has held several key positions in the Government of India and served on the boards of multiple public sector undertakings (PSUs), contributing to sectors such as infrastructure, industry, and social welfare.

A company listed on both the BSE and NSE, announced Chandra’s appointment as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen corporate governance and strategic oversight through the inclusion of experienced leaders from diverse domains.

Chandra’s induction is expected to enhance the board’s policy insight and institutional perspective, particularly as the company expands its operations and sustainability initiatives in the renewable energy space.
