PM Modi to confer awards on Civil Services Day

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will confer the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration on the occasion of Civil Services Day. He will also address Civil Servants during the event. A total of 16 awards for 5 selected Priority Programmes and for novelty in the sphere of public administration/delivery of services etc. will be given.

Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration have been instituted to acknowledge, recognize and reward the remarkable and innovative work done by Districts/ Organizations of the Central and State Governments for the citizen’s welfare. The awards are also given for the effective implementation of identified priority programs and innovation.

Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration will be awarded to officials for the commendable work done in the following five identified priority programmes –  Promoting “Jan Bhagidari” or People’s Participation in Poshan Abhiyan, Promoting excellence in sports and wellness through Khelo India scheme, Digital payments, and Good Governance in PM SVANidhi Yojana, Holistic Development through One District One Product scheme, and Seamless, End-to-End Delivery of Services without Human Intervention.
