Five Regional Centres of Vedic Education Board to be Established

New Delhi: The Union Minister of Education, Dharmendra Pradhan, has announced that in addition to the primary centre in Ujjain, the government will establish five new regional centres of Maharshi Sandipani Rashtriya Veda Sanskrit Shiksha Board (MSRVSSB). This initiative aims to expand the reach and impact of the board, providing more opportunities for professional, engaging, and informative education.

The Maharishi Sandipani Rashtriya Ved Vidya Pratishthan in Ujjain, along with five sub-centres, will be established in Char Dham and Maa Kamakhya Devi Peeth in the north-east. The purpose of these centres is to promote Ved Vidya. The minister also mentioned that these centres will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and will have the capacity to accommodate up to 500 students each. The centres will also have a strong focus on research and will collaborate with various universities and institutions across the country.

MSRVSSB was established on August 8, 2022, with Ujjain serving as the exclusive center for the Vedic Education Board. The minister also informed the house about the current number of students and teachers in the schools.

Currently, there are 123 pathshalas nationwide, accommodating 4,600 students and employing 632 teachers. Furthermore, there are 258 Guru Shishya Parampara Units, where 2,240 students are enrolled and 430 teachers are involved,’ Pradhan informed.
