Sanjay Shukla has been appointed as the Managing Director (MD) of the National Housing Bank (NHB). The decision, made after a meticulous selection process conducted by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau on April 9th and 10th, 2024, marks a significant addition to the leadership of NHB.
Having served as the Managing Director and CEO of Housing Finance at Centrum India prior to this appointment, his expertise extends across various financial institutions, including notable stints at ING Vysya Bank, Tata Capital Housing Finance Limited, Citi Bank, and Hometrust Housing Finance Limited (which later merged into HDFC Limited).
A Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he also holds a degree from Christ Church College, Kanpur University. Shukla was selected for this prestigious role after competing with 15 other highly qualified candidates during the rigorous interview process.
