BFSI jobs demand has surged 27 percent in Feb YoY

A survey by Monster India has revealed that demand for jobs in Banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector have grown 27 percent. The industry has rapidly grown and thus the demand for skilled and talented professionals has increased significantly. BFSI sector has subsequently recovered from the pandemic and witnessed huge tech transformations.

The sector posted a strong growth pattern since June 2021 and saw an uptick of 7 percent growth in the hiring activity. This demand continued to surge, with July 2021 seeing an increase in demand for the talent pool at 22 percent YoY.

The survey has further revealed a spike in payrolls forecast for all 11 industry sectors in the upcoming quarter and reported a net employment outlook of 32 percent for the BFSI sector. With the adoption of digital and advanced technology, the recruiters in the industry are looking for professionals adept in technical and analytical skills. The demand for BFSI talent has seen an uptrend with roles related to finance taking up nearly 8 percent of total jobs.
