In a recently held bureaucratic reshuffle, the Andhra Pradesh government has transferred 18 IAS officers, marking the second major move since Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu assumed office. The order, issued by Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad, has seen several district collectors reassigned, impacting key administrative positions across the state.
Among the notable transfers, S. Nagalakshmi, previously the Vizianagaram District Collector, has been appointed as the Guntur District Collector, replacing M. Venugopal Reddy. B.R. Ambedkar, formerly the Director of Mid-day Meals and Schools Sanitation, will now serve as the Vizianagaram District Collector.
Other key officials affected by the reshuffle include A. Mallikarjuna, who was the Visakhapatnam District Collector and has now been asked to report to the General Administration Department (GAD). A.S. Dinesh Kumar has been transferred from Prakasam to Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district, while A. Thameem Ansariya has moved from Srikakulam to Prakasam.
The Secretaries have been instructed to ensure interim arrangements for the vacant positions. Additionally, Peeyush Kumar, who was serving as the Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce, has been repatriated to Andhra Pradesh.
