Admission Open for Integrated Teacher Education Course at Delhi University

The Delhi University (DU) has announced the commencement of applications for its Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). Individuals who are interested in pursuing DU ITEP 2023 can now register on the official website, itep.uod.ac.in. The registration deadline is October 20, 2023.

As stated in the NEP 2020, the ITEP is a four-year program that emphasizes the enhancement of teacher education within higher education through a multidisciplinary approach. The course is structured into eight semesters and awards a dual-major bachelor's degree. One major pertains to education, while the other focuses on a disciplinary or interdisciplinary field of knowledge.

For this academic year, the ITEP program is available at two esteemed women's colleges, namely Mata Sundari College and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College. These reputable institutions also provide specialized programs for B.A. 8. Ed. (Middle) and B.A. 8. Ed. (Secondary), as indicated in the official university announcement.

To be eligible for ITEP as a female applicant, you must have appeared in the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) in 2023 and have scored above the minimum accepted score. The test is organized by NTA and taking it will allow you entry to ITEP if your results meet the required standard.

To apply to the University of Delhi, candidates must register at itep.uod.ac.in and use their NCET- 2023 application number, the official notification added.

Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly examine the 2023 ITEP bulletin of information, which can be accessed at admission.uod.ac.in.
