Tinku Biswal Moved to Local Self-Government Department

Alongside B. Ashok’s transfer, the Kerala government has also shifted IAS officer Tinku Biswal from the Agriculture Department to the Local Self-Government Department. Biswal had earlier replaced Ashok as Principal Secretary in Agriculture, but with the latest reshuffle, he has been reassigned to another key role. The move underscores the state’s ongoing effort to reorganize its administrative machinery to meet governance priorities. Observers note that frequent transfers of senior officials can sometimes affect continuity in policy execution, though the government maintains that these decisions are made in the interest of improving departmental efficiency.
