Uttarakhand Government Implements Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle

In a significant bureaucratic overhaul, the Uttarakhand government has transferred and assigned new postings to 13 IAS officers. The changes, announced in an official order issued by Deputy Secretary Anil Joshi, aim to enhance governance and improve efficiency across key departments.

As part of the reshuffle, IAS Gaurav Kumar has been designated as the Director of Urban Development, while IAS Jugal Kishore Pant has been assigned the additional responsibility of Secretary of the Language Department. Similarly, IAS Sonika will now also serve as the Additional Secretary in the Civil Aviation Department.

IAS Reena Joshi has been entrusted with the additional role of Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Authority. Meanwhile, IAS Vineet Kumar has been relieved of his charge as Additional Secretary of Planning. IAS Anand Shrivastava has been appointed as the Additional Secretary of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare.

In further administrative changes, IAS Manuj Goyal will now also handle the responsibilities of Additional Secretary in the Sainik Welfare and Higher Education Department. IAS Himanshu Khurana has been given the additional charge of Additional Secretary in the Finance Department, while IAS Abhishek Ruhela has been assigned the role of Additional Secretary for Skill Development and Service Scheme.

IAS Nitika Khandelwal has been appointed as the Additional Secretary of Information Technology, and IAS Anuradha Pal has been designated as the Project Director of REAP. Meanwhile, IAS Varun Chaudhary has been transferred from his role as Municipal Commissioner of Haridwar to Additional Secretary for Medical Health and Family Welfare. Taking his place, IAS Nandan Kumar has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Haridwar.
