The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has announced the empanelment of 21 distinguished IAS officers from the 1993 batch to the esteemed rank of Secretary and/or Secretary Equivalent. The following IAS officers have been elevated to the rank of Secretary:
IAS Sandeep Pondrik from Bihar cadre, IAS Amit Agrawal from Chattisgarh cadre, IAS Kamlesh Kumar Pant from Himachal Pradesh cadre, IAS Sanjeev Kumar from Maharashtra cadre and IAS Deepti Gaur Mukerjee from Madhya Pradesh cadre have been designated to the role of secretary.
From Haryana cadre, IAS Deepti Umashankar and IAS V. Umashankar, while from Odisha cadre IAS Ashok Kumar Kaluaram Meena and IAS Nikunja Bihari Dhal have been elevated to the mentioned role.
IAS Amardeep Singh Bhatia from Nagaland cadre, IAS Tanmay Kumar from Rajasthan cadre, IAS Nagaraju Maddirala from Tripura cadre and IAS Prabhat Kumar Mishra from West Bengal cadre will be assuming the role of secretary.
IAS Dheeraj Kumar and IAS Sunil Paliwal from Tamil Nadu cadre along with the IAS Punya Salila Srivastava and IAS Vikram Dev Dutt from AGMUT cadre have been appointed as secretary.
Additionally, the following IAS officers have been designated as Secretary Equivalent, which includes IAS Sanjay Sethi from Maharashtra cadre and IAS Neerja Sekhar, IAS Sukriti Likhi and IAS Surendra Kumar Bagde from Haryana cadre.
