Abbot will tie up with health tech firms to offer diabetic care

Abbott, a pharma company has collaborated with various health tech companies including SugarFit, PharmEasy, BeatO, GOQii, 1MG to offer diabetes care. It is a big opportunity for health tech startups to serve millions of diabetics.

India is home to around 77 million diabetics! This is undoubtedly a huge number of patients that need better diabetic care.

Abbot through this collaboration aims to reach 8 million people living with diabetes and offer them glucose monitoring solutions. It has been said that 6.5 million can access the service through PharmEasy and 1MG.

The drug firm has also collaborated with Health, Healthifyme, and Fitterfly under the initiative. It endeavors to provide personalized lifestyle and therapy interventions so that diabetics can achieve holistic glucose management goals.

General Manager, Kalyan Sattaru said, “Continued research and strategic partnerships have simplified and strengthened diabetes management over the years. New diabetes technology has paved the way for precise and informed decision making.”
