IIIT Delhi, AICTE, and Ministry of Education Launch Faculty Development Program on Innovation & Entrepreneurship

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT Delhi), in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education, has announced a transformative Faculty Development Program (FDP) and Bootcamp on Innovation & Entrepreneurship. This initiative aims to empower faculty members, researchers, and incubation managers with the skills necessary to foster entrepreneurial ecosystems within academic institutions.

Scheduled from March 17 to March 21, 2025, at IIIT Delhi, this five-day intensive training will provide participants with comprehensive insights into startup creation, mentoring student innovators, and integrating entrepreneurship education into academic curricula. The first cohort application is now open, and interested candidates can register at http://tiny.cc/fdp2025a.

Participants will gain the ability to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among students, expertise in creative problem-solving and innovation methodologies, knowledge of venture creation essentials from ideation to execution, and insights into intellectual property rights (IPR) and technology transfer. Additionally, attendees will have opportunities to network with industry experts, investors, and entrepreneurs, gain exposure to incubation models and strategies for building startup ecosystems, and receive a certification from IIIT Delhi and AICTE. Successful candidates will also have access to IIIT Delhi’s Startup Ecosystem and Incubation Center, with the potential for funding support.

The program is tailored for faculty members and faculty-entrepreneurs from higher education institutions, coordinators and in-charges of IICs, IEDCs, E-Cells, or similar initiatives, as well as incubation managers involved in mentoring and supporting student-led startups.

This FDP aligns with the Government of India’s vision to bolster innovation-driven education and create a sustainable startup culture within academic institutions. The partnership between IIIT Delhi, AICTE, and the Ministry of Education ensures that participants receive high-quality training, industry exposure, and the tools needed to make a lasting impact on student entrepreneurship.
