Sujata Chaturvedi Assigned Additional Charge as Labour Secretary

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the assignment of additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, to Sujata Chaturvedi, IAS (Bihar: 1989). Currently serving as Secretary, Department of Sports, Chaturvedi will take on this role following the relinquishment of the post by Sumita Dawra, IAS (Andhra Pradesh: 1991).

Her tenure in this additional capacity will continue until a regular appointment is made or until further orders from the government.

Chaturvedi is a seasoned bureaucrat with extensive administrative experience. She has held several key positions in the government, demonstrating expertise in policy formulation and governance. Her leadership in the Department of Sports has been instrumental in driving various national initiatives.
