Amrit Abhijat, a 1995-batch IAS officer, has been given additional charge of the Transport Department while continuing to handle Tourism, Culture and Religious Affairs. The expanded assignment adds the transport portfolio to his existing responsibilities.
With the additional charge, Abhijat will oversee responsibilities across transport as well as the departments he continues to handle. His expanded portfolio will involve coordinating the administrative functions and priorities of these departments.
