Puneet Kansal (IAS: 1996: SK), Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chairman, Airports Authority of India (AAI) for a period of three months.
Kansal takes on the additional responsibility following the vacancy created by Vipin Kumar (IAS: 1996: BH), who was laterally appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Rural Development. During the three-month period, Kansal will continue to serve as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation while holding the additional charge of AAI Chairman.
