At present valuation, HDFC Bank will be one of the top ten most valuable banks in the world following its merger with parent HDFC. Additionally, it will be the first Indian bank to join the top 10 club.

A little over $108 billion is the market capitalization of HDFC Bank. Recently, it passed number 17 citigroup (around $100.5 million), which was previously ranked. When compared to HDFC Bank, UBS and DBS Group (both valued at about $58 billion) are less valuable. SBI, the largest lender in the nation, is ranked number 32 in terms of valuation, ahead of BNP Paribas ($55 billion).
HDFC has a combined market valuation of about $160 billion ($52 billion).
The bank’s gauge of being systematically important also suffers as a result of moving up the ranks in size and worth. In comparison to banks that are not regarded as systematically important, these institutions must maintain higher capital levels. Even while HDFC Bank is now a systematically significant bank in India, its expanded size would raise its global significance.
