The Panchkula Administration is preparing to start a 15-day “mega sanitation push” across the district from August 1 to August 15 in an effort to join the league of India’s top 10 smart cities. The cleanliness initiative, which will award awards to the three cleanest wards, will be run by a total of 1000 ITBP officials and volunteers from Nirankari Mission, along with the Resident Welfare Association and NGOs.

Gian Chand Gupta, the speaker of the Haryana Assembly, and Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal met with representatives of the resident welfare association, park development groups, non-governmental organisations, and social activists on Saturday at the PWD Guest House in Sector 1.
