Nitin Gadkari Lays Foundation Stone of 11 NH Projects Worth Rs 5600 Crore: Rajasthan

Pratapgarh: Today, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 11 National Highway projects worth Rs 5600 Crore in Pratapgarh, Rajasthan.

Today marked the inauguration of four major highway projects spanning 219 km and valued at Rs 3,775 crore in Rajasthan. The Kishangarh to Gulbapura section 6-laning on National Highway 48 is set to boost the economic and social growth of Ajmer and Bhilwara districts. Meanwhile, the Gulabpura to Chittorgarh section's 6-laning will enhance the interconnectivity between Udaipur, Jaipur, and Kota regions within the Bhilwara and Chittorgarh districts.

The completion of a 4-lane ROB on National Highway 162A at Fatehnagar will alleviate traffic congestion at the railway crossing. Furthermore, the inauguration of a high-level bridge on the Chambal River in Mandrayal under CRIF will improve connectivity between Mandrayal, Karauli (Rajasthan), and Sabalgarh (Madhya Pradesh).

Also unveiled today was the foundation stone for seven projects worth Rs 1850 crore and covering a total distance of 221 km. These ventures aim to establish direct connections between the renowned religious site Nathdwara and Udaipur Airport. The Pratapgarh bypass construction will ease traffic within the city, while the Raas to Biaora road development assists vehicles heading towards Bhilwara. Improved connectivity is in store for tribal areas in Dungarpur, Udaipur, and Banswara regions.

The bypasses in Sangwara and Garhi are expected to shorten the distance by 10 km between Dungarpur-Banswara. On Beawar-Gomti road, thirteen animal underpasses will be constructed within Todgarh Wildlife Sanctuary to ensure wildlife protection.

Lastly, during this program, an approval announcement was made for 74 Rajasthan-based projects under CRF, worth Rs 2250 crore. The commencement of these projects is expected shortly.
