Dehradun: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare along with the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare will be organizing Swasthya Chintan Shivir on 14 th July, 2023 at Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
The two-day event will be inaugurated by the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya. The event will be graced by the presence of Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar and Prof. SP Singh Baghel, the Ministers of State for Health and Family Welfare, as well as various Health Ministers from States and Union Territories, and senior officials from both the Health Ministry and States.
The event will commence with the presentation of the Action Taken Report of the 14th Convention of the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare and will feature discussions on various aspects of healthcare in India. The sessions will shed light on the four important pillars of Ayushman Bharat, namely Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Health and Wellness Centres, as well as Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM).
Apart from this, the thematic sessions will also concentrate on crucial issues such as the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, the elimination of Measles, Rubella, and the implementation of the PCPNDT Act in India. The discussions will highlight the role of the Public Health Management Cadre, as well as the current status of Medical, Nursing, and Allied Health Education in the country.
Furthermore, deliberations will be held on the National Organ Transplant Programme, District Residency Programme, burden of non-communicable diseases, and Sickle Cell Disease. The Swasthya Chintan Shivir is aimed towards creating lively interaction sessions with the stakeholders to initiate discussions on healthcare challenges and opportunities to build a healthier nation.
