The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) has partnered with Internshala, a career-tech platform. The partnership will see the offering of co-branded skill training programs in a variety of high-demand fields, along with internship placement assistance for students.
Under this initiative, IIT Madras and Internshala will offer specialized training programs spanning Ethical Hacking, Advanced Excel, Data Science, Machine Learning, SQL for Data Analytics, Business Analytics, VLSI Design, and MATLAB. These comprehensive training modules, ranging from 6 to 8 weeks in duration, will be delivered through Internshala’s robust skilling engine, Internshala Trainings.
One of the key features of the partnership is Internshala’s commitment to providing internship placement opportunities to students of IITM Pravartak and IIT Madras. The platform will facilitate access to a diverse range of internships across various industries, enabling students to gain valuable hands-on experience in their respective fields of interest.
Upon successful completion of the training programs, learners will be awarded co-branded certificates jointly issued by Internshala Trainings and IITM Paavartak, adding significant value to their credentials and enhancing their employability prospects in the competitive job market.
Expressing his thoughts on the collaboration, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between academia and industry, especially in the context of India’s ambitious goal of achieving a US $5 trillion economy. He highlighted the pivotal role played by premier institutions like IIT Madras in equipping students with job-oriented skills through strategic partnerships with organizations like Internshala.
