In a remarkable feat of efficiency and dedication, the Ministry of Coal has achieved a remarkable milestone in Government e-Marketplace (GeM) procurement, surpassing its fiscal year 2023-24 target by a staggering margin. As of February 14, 2024, the total procurement through GeM stands at an impressive Rs. 63,890 Crore, marking a remarkable achievement equivalent to 300% of the annual target of Rs. 21,325 Crore.
Surging past its targets, the Ministry of Coal has reclaimed its position, emerging as the top performer among all Central Ministries in GeM procurement.
Furthermore, Coal India Limited (CIL) has maintained its supremacy among all Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), reinforcing its status as a frontrunner in the realm of procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
The significant surge in GeM procurement stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts and proactive involvement of Coal PSUs.
