IIT Jodhpur’s TISC and STEPapp Partner to Revolutionize School Education with Innovative Skilling Courses

With an aim to enhancing school education in India, the Technology Innovation and Start-up Center (TISC) at IIT Jodhpur has announced a pioneering collaboration with STEPapp. This partnership aims to empower students from grades 6-12 with essential skills aligned with the National Education Policy’s (NEP) focus on practical skill development.

Under this collaboration, esteemed professors from IIT Jodhpur will combine their expertise with STEPapp to design and meticulously audit skilling courses. These courses will cover a range of vital subjects including Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, 2D Animation, Graphic Design, and Entrepreneurship.

An official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of key stakeholders including IIT Jodhpur’s director, Santanu Chaudhury, Chairman of TISC; CEO of IIT Jodhpur’s TISC, Vignesh Mohan; and CEO and Founder of STEPapp, Praveen Tyagi. This partnership signifies a commitment to enhancing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education by integrating gamified learning methods.

‘We are committed to our mission of exploring innovative technologies for the benefit of students at all levels in STEM education. Through a collaborative effort between Technology Innovation and Start-up Centre (TISC), IIT Jodhpur, and EduIsFun Technologies Pvt. Ltd., we plan to explore gamification for new-edge learning as per the NEP philosophy. We are excited about the transformative possibilities of this initiative,’ said Santanu Chaudhury, director, IIT Jodhpur, and Chairman, Technology Innovation and Start-up Centre (TISC).

Vignesh Mohan, CEO of TISC, added, ‘Through our collaboration with Eduisfun Technologies Pvt Ltd and the signing of this MoU, we are excited to bring a gamified learning environment for STEM education to schools. TISC will coordinate with esteemed IIT Jodhpur faculty members for curating cutting-edge courses to be offered via STEPapp. We believe that this partnership will significantly contribute to young students’ holistic development and academic success.’

By aligning with NEP’s vision of fostering future-ready and global leaders from an early age, the partnership between TISC IIT Jodhpur and STEPapp underscores a shared commitment to revolutionizing education. These transformative skilling courses are already being implemented in a few of the most premier schools in the county, like Bombay Scottish, where STEPapp has been integrated into the pedagogy.
