The Uttar Pradesh government has transferred several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state. This move includes the appointment of new District Magistrates (DMs) in Ayodhya and four other districts, as announced on Saturday night.
Chandra Vijay Singh, previously serving as the District Magistrate of Sonbhadra, has been appointed as the new DM of Ayodhya. He takes over from IAS officer Nitish Kumar, who has been assigned the role of Managing Director of Dakshinanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd.
In Sonbhadra, Badri Nath Singh, who was the Special Secretary at Raj Bhavan, will now serve as the DM, replacing Chandra Vijay Singh.
Nidhi Srivastav has been appointed as the new DM of Budaun, taking over from Manoj Kumar. Kumar will now assume the position of Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission.
Divya Mittal is the new DM of Deoria, succeeding Akhand Pratap Singh. Singh will take over Mittal’s former role in the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Road Development Authority.
In Auraiya, Indra Mani Tripathi, who was the Vice Chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), has been appointed as the new DM. He replaces IAS officer Neha Prakash, who has been designated as the Director of Training and Employment in UP.
Prathmesh Kumar, previously the Special Secretary with the Chief Minister, has been named the new Vice Chairman of the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA).
