The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) selected Rajiv Ashok as the new Managing Director (MD) of National Handloom Development Corporation Limited (NHDC), a Schedule ‘B’ Central Public Sector Undertaking (PSU). Ashok, who currently serves as Managing Director of North Eastern Regional Agricultural Marketing Corporation Limited (Neramac), was chosen after a rigorous interview process involving five candidates.
Ashok’s appointment is subject to requisite clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC). He will take over from Rita Hemrajani, the outgoing Managing Director, who is set to retire on November 30, 2024.
