In a strategic move to bolster cybersecurity measures, the Adani Group has announced the appointment of Shivkumar Pandey as its Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With a rich professional background spanning over 23 years across diverse industries, Pandey brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Currently heading Adani Group’s cybersecurity function, Pandey will take charge of overseeing key cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring the robust security of both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) systems within the conglomerate. His responsibilities include safeguarding sensitive data and mitigating potential cyber threats.
Prior to joining Adani, Pandey served as the Group CISO at BSE Ltd., where he played a pivotal role in implementing the industry’s first next-generation Information and Cyber Security Operations Center. This accomplishment underscores his commitment to ensuring the availability and protection of information systems.
Pandey’s extensive career includes notable contributions to rapidly changing industries such as Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI), Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES), and Telecommunications. He has previously held key positions at renowned organizations including the National Payment Corporation of India, Reliance JIO, SUD Life, Future Generali India, Kotak Mahindra, and Tata AIG.
