AICTE Introduces PG Scholarships for 2023-24

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has commenced online applications for approved institutions to grant postgraduate scholarships to eligible students meeting qualifying marks and holding a valid GATE/CEED scorecard. The scholarships are accessible to first-year students in the 2023-24 academic year, who are enrolled in AICTE-approved ME/MTech/MArch/MDes programs within the approved intake.

Criteria

  • Institutions are required to generate a student ID or facilitate online application submission by students before November 30.
  • Verification by the institute must be finalized by December 15.
  • Students enrolled in postgraduate courses, possessing valid GATE/CEED scores, and admitted to AICTE-approved programs within the sanctioned intake, are required to acquire a Unique ID from their institution.
  • After acquiring the Unique ID, they can access the following link, pgscholarship.aicte- india.org, to upload scanned copies of all original documents in JPG/JPEG format exclusively.

Documents Required

  • A scanned copy of the GATE/CEED scorecard.
  • Students need an active bank account linked to their Aadhar Card. They can refer to the manual available at
pgscholarship.aicte-india.org/assets/manuals/Manual_for_Bank_account_linkage_with_Aadhaar.PDF to verify the status of their bank account linkage with Aadhar.
  • Only active savings bank accounts linked with Aadhar will be accepted, as the PG Scholarship is disbursed through the Aadhaar Bridge Payment System (ABPS) via the Public Financial Management System (PFMS).
  • No-Frill Accounts, Jan Dhan accounts, bank accounts with limitations on transactions/credits, and joint accounts are not permissible for this scholarship application.

Following this, the institute will verify the student’s data and provide approval for their candidacy through the portal. Once approved, confirmation of eligibility for scholarship disbursement will be granted.
