Air Marshal S P Dharkar Appointed as Next Vice Chief of Air Staff

Air Marshal S P Dharkar has been appointed as the next Vice Chief of Air Staff of the Indian Air Force (IAF). He will succeed Air Marshal AP Singh, who has been designated as the next Chief of Air Staff. Air Marshal Dharkar will assume office following the formal takeover of the new Chief of Air Staff.

Commissioned into the IAF in June 1985, Air Marshal Dharkar brings with him nearly four decades of distinguished service. A Qualified Flying Instructor, he has logged over 3,600 hours of flying, demonstrating his extensive expertise and leadership in the field. Throughout his career, he has held several key operational and command appointments, significantly contributing to the operational preparedness and capability enhancement of the IAF.
