The Punjab government has appointed senior IAS officer Ajoy Kumar Sinha as the CMD of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) on an additional charge basis. Sinha, a 1996-batch IAS officer, currently serves as the Principal Secretary, Power, and holds additional responsibilities as Principal Secretary, New & Renewable Energy Sources, and CMD of Punjab State Transmission Corporation Ltd.
His appointment follows the retirement of Baldev Singh Sran, whose tenure concluded upon attaining the age of 65.
