The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has appointed Amit Sharma, IAS (AGMUT-2012), as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration for Mizoram at the Deputy Secretary level.
Sharma will hold the position on an additional charge basis from the date he assumes office, until December 31, 2025, or until further orders. The DoPT has communicated the appointment to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Mizoram, directing Sharma to take charge and inform both the DoPT and the Registrar General and Census Commissioner under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
