Andhra Pradesh Achieves 8.21% Economic Growth, Second-Highest in India for 2024-25: AP IT Minister Nara Lokesh

Andhra Pradesh has recorded a robust 8.21% economic growth rate for the financial year 2024-25, securing its position as the second-fastest growing state in the country. This milestone underscores the state’s strong governance, citizen-centric policies, and a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

In a recent LinkedIn post, celebrating the achievement, Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Electronics & Communication, Human Resources Development, and RTG, emphasized that the growth reflects not just statistical progress, but the collective spirit and determination of the people of Andhra Pradesh.

This isn’t just a number. It represents every young graduate stepping into their first job, every mother managing a self-help group, every farmer adopting modern techniques, and every entrepreneur investing in our land, Minister wrote. He credited the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu for steering the state towards inclusive and sustainable development.

Calling upon changemakers, investors, and policy experts, Shri Lokesh highlighted the state’s ambition to become the innovation and manufacturing hub of South Asia. He outlined a three-pronged roadmap—a bold vision, a clear mission, and an inclusive approach—to drive job creation, equitable regional development, and the establishment of world-class digital and physical infrastructure.

Reaffirming Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to “people-first” leadership, the Minister stressed that the government remains focused on transparency, accountability, and measurable outcomes. As India positions itself as a global economic leader, Andhra Pradesh aims to be at the forefront of this transformation, setting benchmarks for governance-driven growth.
