The Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), in collaboration with the ICT Department, Government of Mizoram, is set to host the BHASHINI Rajyam Workshop: Mizoram Chapter on 12th September 2025 at the ATI Auditorium, MINECO, Aizawl.
The workshop marks a significant milestone in integrating Mizoram’s diverse linguistic heritage—including Mizo, Hmar, Lai, Mara, Chakma, Paite, Bru, and Ralte—into the BHASHINI AI ecosystem. By leveraging advanced AI-based solutions, BHASHINI aims to make digital services and platforms more accessible across Indian languages, bridging language barriers for citizens.
Preserving Linguistic Identity with Technology
The Mizoram Chapter will focus on developing Artificial Intelligence models for local languages in close collaboration with the state government. This initiative will not only preserve Mizoram’s rich linguistic identity but also ensure that citizens can access governance, education, healthcare, and essential services in their mother tongue.

The day-long event will bring together senior policymakers, technology experts, academia, and civil society. Participants will witness demonstrations of BHASHINI’s multilingual platforms and tools designed for inclusive governance.
