Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) revealed its brand-new logo, symbolizing the company’s renewed focus on trust, strength, and national reach. This launch comes just before the nationwide rollout of its 4G network, marking a significant step in the state-owned telecom provider’s journey towards enhanced connectivity and innovation.
Union Minister for Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, lauded the company’s efforts, calling the unveiling of the logo and new services ‘a dawn of a transformative era.’ He emphasized that BSNL is reaffirming its commitment to delivering seamless, affordable, and accessible connectivity for all Indians.
BSNL’s latest offerings include a spam-blocking solution to eliminate scam and spam communication in real-time, Wi-Fi roaming for users to stay connected via BSNL FTTH Wi-Fi networks nationwide, and an intranet TV service that gives FTTH users access to over 500 premium live TV channels.
The telecom giant is also introducing Any Time SIM (ATS) kiosks, which simplify the process of purchasing and activating new SIM cards through automated kiosks that complete KYC verification and activation on the spot.
Further advancing its services, BSNL announced the launch of India’s first satellite-to-device SMS connectivity, which will operate across land, sea, and air. Additionally, BSNL has developed a single one-time solution network for disaster management, and a secure 5G network specifically for the mining sector.
BSNL’s rapid 4G network expansion has gained traction, especially following recent tariff hikes by competitors Airtel, Jio, and Vi. With affordable plans, BSNL has seen a surge in subscribers and aims to complete its 4G rollout by 2025. The company is also eyeing a 5G launch, expected within six to eight months after the 4G expansion is completed.
