The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has invited applications for its Internship Programme 2024, providing a unique opportunity for students to gain exposure to Competition Law. The internship, scheduled for March 2024, is open to Indian nationals pursuing various courses, including Economics and Management, Law, Regulatory Governance, and Professional Courses.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to Indian Nationals only.
- Students from recognized Institutions and Universities with exposure to Competition Law.
- Students with a placement in hand are not eligible.
- Eligible courses include MA/MSc. (Economics), MBA, Bachelors and integrated Law courses, MA/MSc. (Regulatory Governance), and final group students of Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, or Company Secretary.
Duration
- Internship is normally for one month, starting on the 1st working day of the month.
- Applicants desiring a longer internship (2-3 months) can apply with the recommendation of their respective University/College/Institution.
Application Process
- Interested students should apply in the prescribed format available in the Annexure.
- The application must include a recommendation from the academic institution.
- A ‘Statement of Purpose’ of about 200 words covering the topic and study objectives is required.
- Applications must be submitted by the 1st of the preceding month (e.g., for March, the application must reach by February 1).
- Applications can be sent by post or emailed to internships@cci.gov.in.
Stipend
- Selected interns will receive an honorarium of Rs.15,000 per month during the internship.
