Chandra Shekhar Tiwari Takes Charge as Director (Technical) of Central Coalfields Limited

Chandra Shekhar Tiwari has officially assumed the role of Director (Technical) at Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a prominent subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL). His appointment is expected to strengthen the company’s technical leadership and enhance operational efficiency in coal production.

He began his journey in the sector in 1989 and has since held key positions at both Central Coalfields Limited and Northern Coalfields Limited, contributing significantly to the industry’s growth.

An accomplished mining professional, Tiwari holds a B.Tech in Mining Engineering from the Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad, and an MBA in Marketing Management from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. He also possesses a First-Class Mine Manager’s Certificate from the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS), Dhanbad, further underscoring his technical acumen.

Tiwari’s selection for the post was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) following a rigorous selection meeting held in November 2024. His leadership is anticipated to play a crucial role in advancing technological innovations and ensuring sustainable mining practices at CCL.
