Data governance and AI skills must for bureaucrats – Prime Minister Modi

Bureaucrats must be equipped with data governance and artificial intelligence skills, said Prime Narendra Modi on Thursday at the valedictory functions of the common foundation course of the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, which was he addressed in an online mode.

PM Modi has requested the director of the academy to include a lab on artificial intelligence where civil servants can learn.  Also, data will have a big power in the future. Or can be said that it already has. Thus, it is important to learn and understand everything about data governance and also implement them wherever we go. He further added that many of us will not be around when India celebrates its 100 years of Independence. But you all will be there. So the developments India will achieve in the next 25 years, your batch will have a role to play in it.

PM Modi encouraged the young civil servants to continuously challenge themselves and never get into their comfort zone.
