Debi Prasad Satpathy is poised to take on the role of Director (HR) at BEML following a recommendation by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). Satpathy, who currently serves as the Executive Director (HR) at BEML, brings with him a wealth of experience spanning over three decades in the field of Human Resources and Development across Central and State Government sectors.
BEML confirmed Satpathy’s appointment through a statement released on Tuesday, highlighting his impressive career trajectory and contributions to the organization. Satpathy’s journey began as an Executive Trainee at Hindustan Paper Corporation Ltd’s Nagaon Paper Mill in Assam, where he swiftly ascended to the position of HR Manager within 15 years.
In 2011, Satpathy joined BEML Limited, where he assumed various leadership roles within the Industrial Relation and Recruitment Department. His tenure at BEML saw him overseeing the personnel department at the company’s rail coach unit in the Bangalore Complex, where he played a pivotal role in several key initiatives.
Notably, Satpathy spearheaded the implementation of SAP HCM modules and the development of customized IT solutions for HR processes at BEML. Beyond his roles within BEML, Satpathy actively participated in government initiatives such as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Swachh Bharat, and Skill India, showcasing his commitment to broader societal and developmental goals.
Educationally, Satpathy holds a B.Sc (Honors) degree and an MA in Industrial Relation and Personnel Management from Berhampur University, underlining his strong academic background in the field.
