Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a productive meeting with the Director of National Intelligence of the United States, Ms. Tulsi Gabbard, in New Delhi today. The discussions reinforced the growing strength of the India-US bilateral defence partnership, aligning with the recent Joint Statement issued following Prime Minister’s meeting with US President Donald Trump.
Both leaders emphasized the significance of strategic security as a cornerstone of the comprehensive global strategic cooperation between India and the United States. They reviewed key advancements in military exercises, strategic cooperation, and integration of defence industrial supply chains. Enhanced information-sharing, particularly in the maritime domain, was also highlighted as a crucial aspect of mutual collaboration.
Exploring further avenues for defence cooperation, Rajnath Singh and Tulsi Gabbard discussed opportunities in cutting-edge defence innovation and niche technologies, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing mutual strategic interests. The conversation also covered ways to enhance interoperability and strengthen defence industrial supply chains, aiming to boost resilience and innovation within both nations.
