Dr. Anupam Arora, a distinguished physicist and seasoned academician, has been appointed as a Non-official Director (Independent Director) on the Board of POWERGRID Unchahar Transmission Limited, the Investment Manager to POWERGRID Infrastructure Investment Trust (PGInvIT).
According to an official notification, Dr. Arora has assumed the role of Additional Director – Non-Official Director (Independent Director) on the Board of the Company effective from May 19, 2025. His appointment is for a tenure of three years from the date of notification or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Dr. Arora brings with him over 35 years of extensive experience in teaching and research. He holds an M.Sc. in Physics, an M.Phil., and a Ph.D. in Nuclear Physics. Beginning his academic career in 1990 at S.D. Post Graduate College, Panipat, Haryana, he rose through the ranks to become the Principal of the institution in 2012, a role he continues to serve in with distinction.
