The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has recommended the name of Dr. Harikrishnan S for the post of Director (Operations) at Cochin Shipyard Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
The selection was made during a PESB meeting held on May 22, 2025. Dr. Harikrishnan S is presently serving as Executive Director (Ship Building) at Cochin Shipyard Limited. Known for his technical acumen and deep experience in shipbuilding operations, Dr. Harikrishnan has been an integral part of several key projects at the shipyard.
The post is currently held by Sreejith K Narayanan, who assumed charge as Director (Operations) on July 21, 2022. The PESB’s recommendation marks a strategic move aimed at strengthening operational leadership within the organisation, which plays a crucial role in India’s maritime and defence manufacturing sectors.
The appointment is subject to further approval by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
