IAS officer Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal (2007 batch), currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, has been appointed as the Government Nominee Director on the Boards of the National Insurance Academy (NIA) and the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL).
Additionally, Dr. Goyal has been nominated as a member of the Council of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI), further solidifying his position as a respected figure in the financial and actuarial domains.
With a diverse educational background, including an MBBS degree from Punjabi University, Dr. Goyal’s multidisciplinary expertise is expected to contribute significantly to the strategic direction and decision-making processes of NIA, NICL, and IAI.
Prior to his current appointment, he served in various capacities, including as Secretary to the Chief Minister of Tripura. He has also held pivotal roles as Secretary of the GA (C&C) Department and Secretary of the Industries & Commerce Department.
