Government Announces Key Administrative Appointments and Transfers

In a series of significant administrative appointments announced on Wednesday, the government has assigned additional charges to several senior officials.

Tuhin Kanta Pandey, IAS officer of the 1987 batch from the Odisha cadre, has been appointed to the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises (DPE). This appointment follows the retirement of Ali Raza Rizvi, an IAS officer from the 1988 batch of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, who stepped down from the role today. Pandey is currently serving as the Secretary of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM).

In another key move, Subhas Chandra Lal Das, an IAS officer of the 1992 batch from the AGMUT (Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, and Union Territories) cadre, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Steel. This change comes as Nagendra Nath Sinha, an IAS officer of the 1987 batch from the Jharkhand cadre, vacates the position. Das is presently the Secretary of the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
