Government Announces Key Appointments and Repatriations

The government has announced a series of key appointments and repatriations in various departments and ministries. The appointments, which were issued on Thursday, include several high-level officials across different sectors.

Rajesh Meena (IAS: 2012: BH) has been appointed as Deputy Director at the Deputy Secretary level at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). He will serve in this position for a period of five years.

Navneet Kaur (IInfoS: 2008) has been appointed as Director in the Capacity Building Commission under the Department of Personnel and Training. Her tenure in this role is set for five years.

Kamlesh Kumar Pant (IAS: 1993: HP), who was serving as the Chairperson of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, has been repatriated to his parent cadre to avail of a promotion.

Padmakar Kushwaha (IA&AS: 2012) has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy in Mumbai. His appointment will last for a period of four years.

Baisnab Charan Pradhan (YOA: 2007), currently the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in Brasilia, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Sierra Leone.

Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS: 2009: NL) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Personnel & Training under the Central Staffing Scheme. He will serve in this role for five years.

Rakesh Kumar (IDAS: 2010) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Pensions & Pensioners’ Welfare in Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme. His tenure will last for five years.

Nimisha Jha (ICAS: 2009) has also been appointed as Director in the Department of Pensions & Pensioners’ Welfare in Delhi under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of five years.

Himanshu Jain (IRSSE: 2008) has been appointed as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL) in Bilaspur under the Ministry of Coal. His term in this position is for three years.
