Government is Committed to Improving the Ease of Doing Business in India: Piyush Goyal

New Delhi: Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Piyush Goyal, highlighted the Government’s unwavering dedication to improving the business environment in India and striving for the simplification of establishing and managing firms.

While speaking at the Bada Business’s ‘Entrepreneur Launchpad’ event held in New Delhi, Goyal highlighted the success of the Startup India initiative and said that as the country has seen remarkable growth from 450 startups in 2016 to over 1 lakh today, making India the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world.

The Minister urged all stakeholders to set ambitious goals, exhibit strength, and actively contribute to the progress of India. He emphasized the global recognition garnered during India’s G20 presidency, highlighting how it presented an opportunity to showcase the remarkable development achieved in the country.

The Minister highlighted the enthusiastic and driven nature of India’s youth, who are eager for rapid progress. He placed strong emphasis on the significance of the country’s youth as the cornerstone for India’s development during the ‘Amrit Kaal’ era. With India’s average age being less than 30 years and the demographic dividend persisting for the next three decades, he expressed a sense of optimism that India’s economy would witness remarkable growth by 2047.

According to him, India’s prospects, diversity, and economic progress are drawing more and more attention from around the world. He emphasised that Indian STEM graduates are an international attraction.

He mentioned several initiatives, including Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi, Kartavya Path, and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, as proof of India’s departure from a colonial mindset. He emphasized the Prime Minister’s dedication to improving the lives of all 1.4 billion Indians through welfare measures such as electricity access, digital connectivity, access to cooking gas, piped water supply, and advancements in healthcare and education.

He urged all residents to contribute to the nation’s growth with a strong sense of duty and dedication.
