Hemant Soren Sworn in as Jharkhand’s 14th Chief Minister for Fourth Term

Hemant Soren was sworn in as the 14th Chief Minister of Jharkhand in a grand ceremony held at Morabadi Ground, Ranchi, on Thursday. Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to Soren.

This marks Soren’s fourth term as Chief Minister, making him the first leader in the state’s history to secure two consecutive terms.

The swearing-in ceremony witnessed a significant political gathering, with top leaders from the INDIA bloc attending in a show of unity. Prominent figures included Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal accompanied by his wife Sunita Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav.

Deputy Chief Ministers D.K. Shivakumar (Karnataka) and Udhayanidhi Stalin (Tamil Nadu) also graced the event, alongside Congress leader Tariq Anwar, Purnea MP Pappu Yadav, and CPI(ML) Liberation General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya.
