IAS Amrit Lal Meena Appointed as Chief Secretary of Bihar

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the repatriation of Senior IAS officer Amrit Lal Meena (1989 batch officer) and announced him as the new chief secretary of Bihar. He succeeded Brajesh Mehrotra, who is retiring on August 31.

Meena was serving as the secretary in the Union Ministry of Coal to Bihar. He had earlier been additional chief secretary in the Road Construction Department, besides having held several other important positions in the state government.
